T cells are activated by antigen they recognize on the surface of dendritic cells in lymphoid tissues. We are interested in how the strength and length of antigen recognition affects T cell behavior. Since these parameters change over a wide range in different infections we have developed systems to change them at will to discover how T cells respond to briefly and chronically presented antigen. read more
